Wodociągi Warszawskie organizują piknik ekologiczny z okazji Światowego Dnia Wody.
W dniu 23 marca 2019 r. Wodociągi Warszawskie organizują piknik ekologiczny z okazji Światowego Dnia Wody.
This summer, Warsaw’s artistic landscape has been enriched by the new effigy of William Heerlein Lindley. It is the the bust of W.H. Lindley sculptured by professor Jan Pastwa from Warsaw Fine Art University. He is also the author of the full sculpture of W.H. Lindley standing next to the bench dedicated to him at Warsaw Podzamcze Park. The bench has been designed by Dr Norbert Sarnecki with assistance of Anna Sarnecka.
The bust of W.H. Lindley stands in the latest addition to Warsaw Supply Company - water ozonation and water filtration on the activated carbon.
The relief depicting William Lindley-father on the pediment of the building is visible from Filtrowa Street but the bust of William Heerlein is not publicly accessible. It can be admired only by the guests of the Company.
We are very glad of the fact that W.H. Lindley is also commemorated in the new Water Supply Company building, but we regret that Professor Pastwa has not benefited from our iconography and gave his sculpture the profile (intuitively rightly) of the author of this note, who tirelessly do research into career and life of the Lindleys, the family of the great English Civil engineers...

William Lindley will speak
On
the 7th of September 2018, University of Applied Sciences (HAW) in
cooperation with the Institute of Heritage, will publish the digital app
revitalizing William Lindley. In
such a unique way City of Hamburg wants to celebrate the 210th birthday of
William Lindley!
The digital app, using the voice of the German actor, will inform the application user about W. Lindley’s impressions from Hamburg, about the fruits of his work for this city. He will also explain "how important is the common action, exchange of experiences with other Europeans and willingness to create a positive basis for the implementation of new joint projects”.
A
small sample of this application was presented to the participants of the
opening of the European Year of Cultural Heritage on January the 8th
this year in the Grand Hall of the City Hall in Hamburg.
On the
photograph you can see a digital figure of William Lindley, who asks prof. Monika
Grütters, Minister of State for Culture and Media, dr. Martina Müncha, President of the DNK,
dr. Carsten
Brosda, Senator for Culture and Media in Hamburg, Petra Kammerevert, MEP, to
officially inaugurate the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018.
English engineer William Lindley (1808-1900) returns to Hamburg in the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018. The Office of Monuments and the University of Applied Sciences have prepared an application in which Lindley, as a digital hero, comments on the city's development.

Cały numer „Wodociągowca” załączamy do naszej e-biblioteki (strona 2).
