At the end of March 2009 The Warsaw Surveying Company WPG S.A. took place an important exhibition about Warsaw „Hoppe, Lindley, WPG, Warsaw Cartography 1641-2009”. The exhibition was organized by The Warsaw Surveying Company WPG in cooperation with the State Archive of City of Warsaw (APW).
Author of the exhibtion was Paweł Weszpiński, member of Board of our Societas
Lindleiana, which administers and takes care of the so called Lindley plans in
the archive. The exhibition was
dedicated to the 150 anniversary of birth of Josepha Lindley, the younest of
three Lindley brothers.
The exhibition reminded Young generation that the waterworks and sewage systems as well as modern surveying of the city is to thank family of English civil engineers, father William Lindley (1808-1900), and sons Sir William Heerlein Lindley (1853-1917), Robert Searls (1854 – 1925) and Joseph (1859-1906).

William Lindley will speak
On
the 7th of September 2018, University of Applied Sciences (HAW) in
cooperation with the Institute of Heritage, will publish the digital app
revitalizing William Lindley. In
such a unique way City of Hamburg wants to celebrate the 210th birthday of
William Lindley!
The digital app, using the voice of the German actor, will inform the application user about W. Lindley’s impressions from Hamburg, about the fruits of his work for this city. He will also explain "how important is the common action, exchange of experiences with other Europeans and willingness to create a positive basis for the implementation of new joint projects”.
A
small sample of this application was presented to the participants of the
opening of the European Year of Cultural Heritage on January the 8th
this year in the Grand Hall of the City Hall in Hamburg.
On the

Brosda, Senator for Culture and Media in Hamburg, Petra Kammerevert, MEP, to
officially inaugurate the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018.
English engineer William Lindley (1808-1900) returns to Hamburg in the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018. The Office of Monuments and the University of Applied Sciences have prepared an application in which Lindley, as a digital hero, comments on the city's development.

We find the picture extremely fine and accurate. The Board of Societas Lindleiana congratulates Mr. Mehbaliyev an excelent idea and great artistic talent!

The month of December marks the 100th anniversary of the death of William Heerlein Lindley. We will celebrate it together with the inhabitants of Ochota, the district most connected with the creators of our sewerage and waterworks system as well as the plan of our city.
On December 6 we will be hosted by the Library "Under the Wings"
located at ul. Grójecka No. 109 (corner of Dickens street). The most convenient
connection - tram no. 9.
